My dog is worth the world to me.

The day of New Years Eve my dog was attacked by three other dogs.  At the time I thought they were Pit Bulls, I was later corrected by the owner, they are American Bull Dogs.  A breed which is larger than a Pit Bull.  Needless to say New Years Eve is considered a holiday so most vets were closed, the only one I found open was the emergency animal hospital.  Because it was a holiday they charged a $115 just to walk in the door.  They wanted nearly $800 to take care of her.  I asked if there was any way to cut the cost and they left off Xrays and a few other things and got it down to about $400.  It's not that I did not want the best for Izzy; it's that the $400 is nearly 1/2 of our monthly income and we live month to month barely surviving, on disability!  We may not be able to pay the utilities this month and it may get cold in here but I would spend the money again in a heart beat to take care of my "Baby" Izzy.  Yes she is like another child to me; and no I don't dress her up in clothes and such.  But if you do that with your pet different strokes for different folks!
