I have a wonderful Labrador/Boxer mix named Hannah. I rescued her from the local Humane Society in 09/1995 when she was about 5 weeks old. She is as smart as can be. Sometimes I think she is going to look up and just talk to me. She picks up things in a minute and it absolutely flabbergasts me at times. I am disabled and live in constant pain but she makes my life so worth living everyday. There are some days where I cannot even get out of bed except to get something to drink but I manage to get up to let her outside and feed/water her because I know she needs me...so she also gives me a daily purpose. When I have my really bad days, she always knows it (she always knows how I feel) and she comes and snuggles right next to me in the bed and about every 15-20 minutes she looks back at me with a look on her little face as if to say "Mommy, are you okay?" and she stares at me until I say "Mommy's okay Honey" then she lays her head back down for awhile. She is the best little nurse...covering me with "kisses" throughout the day to help me feel better. There is nothing I wouldn't do for this creature. She has been my salvation on many lonely and dark days and my playmate on many good days as well. I praise God for my Hannah~Belle!!!
I am married with no children. I have several debilitating and painful diseases and having my Hannah makes my life complete.
