People believe what the media says. There is a report from the Colonel that runs the US Army's Veterinary Command which essentially overseas all animal related activities in the Army worldwide. Anyway, he states that there is no scientific method by which to determine the potential aggression of any one breed. Aggression in dogs is based on the dog themselves. Much like people their upbringing, life experiences and individual personality/traits are the determining factors in this area. This is a perfect example of how a well respected and I'm guessing thoroughly educated in these matters given his profession and responsibilities, is ignored in favor of what I can only assume is media hype leading to uninformed/prejudicial views of certain breeds unfairly and incorrectly.
